G’day, I am the pastor at Warner community Church of Christ. We all have a story, and mine began with growing up in Victoria. As a young adult, I moved to South East Queensland where I continued my trade as a Fitter and Turner. Ten years ago God called me out of the manufacturing industry to prepare me for full-time Christian service within the local church. This journey has included experience in mission on Cape York Peninsula in Far North Queensland, to Bible College, and then onto pastoral ministry on Brisbane’s north side as well as chaplaincy in the Army Reserve.
As followers of Jesus Christ we’re to love God and love others (Matthew 22:37-40). Jesus is our teacher. He showed his followers the way of the Kingdom of God, apprenticing those who would follow him. The result is that they encountered the Truth of God in their reality (loving God), which included seeing their community encountering the transforming power of God’s love as they served them (loving others). Here at Warner Church we humbly seek to ‘be’ Holy Spirit led apprentices of Jesus that make a positive difference in the world.
As the pastor of Warner Church I am excited at what God will do as we desire to see the lives of people be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
