Holy Saturday – an inviation:
to wait in silence, to see with the eye of the soul,
to dwell before mystery.
Grace seeps from the empty tomb,
Hearts thrill to the ancient echo, “He is not here.”
From darkness comes light,
from sorrow comes joy,
from the cross comes resurrection
Salvation is complete:
Life blooms to full flower,
joy bursts for unrestrained, hope prevails.
The abundance of Christ’s life scatters peace everywhere.
How will I repond to the invitation of this day?
How will I wait?
